Google Sites – create a team website with the click of a button
Another month, another new Google application – this time Google Sites, which makes creating a team web site as easy as editing a document.
With the program, you can gather a variety of information in one place, including videos, calendars, presentations, attachments, and text and share it for viewing or editing with a small group or the entire world if you so wish. Creating and editing a set of pages in a Google Site requires no knowledge of HTML or web design skills. Just one click creates a page, another click edits it. And if you want to share, just send an invitation out.
In addition, you can embed content from other Google products, including YouTube, Google Docs, Google Calendar and Picasa, as well as uploading just about any file you want to share. And if you have a corporate look, you can also amend the look and feel of the site. It’s available now – for free – to anyone signed up to Google Apps.
