Think Sony Bravia is all about black and silver? Think again – the colourful M1 series of TVs could be heading our way soon.

Just launched in Japan, both the 20-inch and 16-inch TVs offer 1366×768 screens with 1,200:1 or 1,800:1 (respectively) contrast ratios, Bravia Engine 2 image processing, HDMI inputs, plus VOD and DLNA connectivity.

And there’s a choice of colourful surround, including the orange above. These are due on sale in Japan from the end of March, priced at the equivalent of £500 for the 20-inch or £420 for the 16-inch. No word on a Euro launch.
