Aura – powerful speaker shaped like a blender
It might look like a kitchen appliance, but the Aura speaker by Paul Scarfe is actually a very clever piece of audio design.
The moulded glass ‘cone’ isn’t just there for effect – it offers a more precise projected delivery for the treble, pairing up with a powerful bass from the lower end of the unit. Add to that all the connectivity you would need on the rear and flush (almost hidden) controls on the front and you have a stylish speaker that’s not just a pretty face.
Still a concept right now – but hopefully one that will see the light of day commercially.
