The R2-D2 projector is so yesterday – the latest geek must-haves are the life-sized C-3PO and R2-D2 replicas from Sideshow Collectibles.
Due out later this year, they are said to be ‘authentic figures’, although that just seems to consist of ‘flashing lights’ and basic movie catchphrases – which means they’re unlikely to be the life partner(s) you seek. Power by 2x AA batteries s a bit of worry too.
Still, if you have money to burn, you can get your order in now for a delivery later in the year – $5,950 for C-3PO and $5,450 for the R2-D2. Yes, you read that right.
