Nintendo president promises a 'fantastic' Xmas present in the shape of a new Wii game
Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime, has promised the ever-increasing legions of Wii owners something special to look forward to later this year.
In an interview with Game Trailers TV, Fils-Aime planted the first seed of what will no doubt become a LOST-sized jungle of rumour, confusion and hype between now and summer:
“All I can tell you is what we announce during E3 is gonna be fantastic. The gamer is gonna be excited and the expanded audience is gonna be excited.”
The front runners have already been established in Animal Crossing or a third Pikmin, as hinted at by Shigeru Miyamoto during last year’s E3.
What are we in line for then, new Donkey Kong or Zelda titles? Or possibly even Fox McCloud’s first outing on the Wii? Is this Nintendo explicitly trying to appease the ‘hardcore’? Or are we all just going to be incredibly disappointed and wait for the next thing to speculate wildly on?

I hope its a Goldeneye remake. Either that or a graphically wow version of Lylat Wars / Star Fox.
