YouTube Insight: watch them watch you
YouTube, in its quest to try and make the population of the world as self-important as possible (ex. China), has released tools to help users find out exactly what type of person is watching their videos.
YouTube Insight offers statistics into where viewers come from, the time they watched, and how they found the video.
Advertisers will be encouraged to use the tool to match their ads against video demographics; Hollywood studios using several trailers to appeal to different groups being one idea put forward by YouTube Insight product manager, Tracy Chan.
