Following last month’s launch of the MHZ2-BJ hard drive comes the MHZ2-CJ, which along with a substantial 320GB storage capacity features automatic hardware-based encryption to secure data against loss or theft.
Fujitsu claims their drive is the first to offer the 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), implemented directly into the processor chip of the drive. The drive also has an advanced secure erase feature that allows data to be erased in under a second.
The drive is also available in 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, and 250GB capacities, offers 7,200 RPM, and connects via SATA offering 3.0Gb/s data transfer.
Available from the end of May, prices to be confirmed.
