Hop-on disposable mobile phones head to Europe

Yes, you can buy cheap pay-as-you-go handsets for ridiculously cheap prices these days, but perhaps not quite as cheap as the Hop-on mobile phones – which are designed to be thrown away.
And they are coming to Europe in limited numbers (10,000) for a test run. The phones have no screen, but do have a Texas Instruments chip set, keypad and ‘hip’ design. And if you happen to be covering your tracks, all the better.
No news of specifically where you can get them, but all will no doubt become clear in the coming weeks. We do have a price though – 13 Euros (which is around £10).

what a disgustingly wasteful product. Decidedly un-groovy.
