Denon aims for a wider customer base with the Magnesium AH-D2000 headphones

Denon’s second pair of high-end headphones, the AH-D2000 model, takes the best features of the pricey AH-D5000s, but thankfully not the £500 price tag. They’re just half the price, at £249.99.
Code-named ‘Magnesium’, the lightweight magnesium closed cans feature an Acoustic Optimiser for adjusting the sound pressure, and boast impressive specs including a frequency response of 5- 45,000Hz, a high sensitivity of 106dB, and high-purity OFC cables with gold-plated connectors.
Sadly they’re not made of the same mahogany housing as the AH-D5000s, but I guess the black magnesium exterior will appeal to a wider range of people. Chuh! What do they know?
