Asus intros G70 gaming laptop, lots of dual specs and lights
Asus has announced its high performance G70 gaming laptop, quite capable of supporting the latest fast-paced games and high definition content.
“Dual” is the key world when it comes to the G70’s features. The laptop can be fitted with either an Intel Core 2 Duo or Intel Core 2 Extreme processors, dual Nvidia GeForce 8700M GT CPUs, space for two hard drives totalling 640GB, and a dual display – a 17 inch WUXGA full HD screen with 8ms response rate and dual lamp offering high contrast, and a secondary screen which can be used to display system information and message alerts.
Audio power comes from four Altec Lansing speakers, Dolby Home Theatre technology, and 3D surround effects.
As is usual with gaming laptops in particular, there’s plenty of lighting options to provide both gaming ambience and useful information. For example, one LED can glow a different colour depending on how hard the fans are working; another can be set to flash if the CPU is under load. Lighting at the front changes with different volume levels.
The G70 comes with up to 4GB of RAM, built-in two megapixel camera, and DVD writer or optional Blu-ray writer.
Availability and pricing to be confirmed.
