DIY wax, bulb-shaped night light – actually easy enough to do
Share
Not one for children or the clumsy with all the broken glass involved but as hacks go, making a wax bulb-shaped night light is actually pretty doable and quite impressive too.
Essentially, it’s a matter of pouring melted wax into a light bulb, leaving it to set, smashing the glass, hollowing out what’s left, shining a laser pen up it and never walking around in bare feet again.
Apparently the effect is a “strange, pixelated light” but perhaps the pictures don’t do it justice. Not one I’m clamoring for but if it were a rainy Sunday afternoon I’d have a crack.
