Motorola to release the 8-megapixel 'Alexanda' at the same time as the Sony Ericsson C905
Motorola looks to be lobbing all their eggs into one very hopeful basket as a rumour emerges they’ll be launching a handset in October, with an 8-megapixel camera, to compete with the Sony Ericsson C905.
The Motorola “Alexanda”, as the codename runs, looks to be touchscreen, have GPS and come with a serious chip for those of the gaming persuasion. My spidey-senses tell me it’s not going to be enough to save them from their much-predicted demise, though.
They cleaned up back in the hazy RAZR days when their innovations in design and technology captured the hearts of the consumer but there’s a lot more competition on both fronts now what with everyone chasing the iPhone.
Of course, the areas where Apple and others haven’t focused so much are imaging and gaming but somehow for Motorola, unless this Alexanda is super-special, it just feels like too little, too late.

Looks promising, hopes it can live up with the expectation
I’ve a feeling it’s all in the delivery. If it looks good, people will buy it.
