No TomTom software for iPhone 3G in development

It seems someone at TomTom’s been telling porkies after the Dutch company denied the existence of any navigation software for the iPhone 3G in development, via in an internal e-mail.
“We haven’t officially announced anything, we’re just commenting to the press on a reactive not proactive basis,” it read according to a source, which translated means that it would be nice to get something on the iPhone 3G otherwise people may stop buying our products.
More sneakily perhaps, the whole media circus that the initial statement and this reaction has caused does makes a nice little reminder for one and all that TomTom still exist – well, for now at least.
