Sound Chaser – train set with very own sound track
The Sound Chaser lies somewhere between the bizarre, the genius and the utterly useless yet still manages to make you want it.
What you’re looking at is basically a train set with audio functions, only the track is strips of ripped up and reconnected old vinyl and the train, a mini speaker trailing a needle. Getting the picture?
The upshot, as you’ll see from the video, is that the little gizmo pootles about sounding rather like that rat droid thing on the Death Star. Of course, you could always rip up Sergeant Pepper, set him off backwards and discover once and for all whether Paul is in fact dead, although I imagine that’ll be irrelevant in a few years anyway.
