More leaked pictures of the Nokia XpressMusic 5800 (nee the Nokia Tube)
Another week, another inch closer to the Nokia Tube, which now seems to be going under the name of the Nokia XpressMusic 5800 – far catchier, I think you’ll all agree.
Now when I say inch, I actually mean some other unit of measurement that’s half as small as the smallest increment detectable. Today’s mindboggling update is a shot of the Tube in the wild. Yes, we have a close-up the wee beast’s 3.2-inch screen and its 5th edition S60 desktop. We also know that it comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera, a Carl Zeiss lens, dual LED flash, it weighs 104g and measures 111mm x 52mm x 14.5mm.
Just in case we were in any doubt, we now know that the XpressMusic 5800 is not an iPhone killer and would probably not only lose in a fight if the two met in an alley but would also likely suffer the embarrassment of a wedgy too. We know this, as it doesn’t have Wi-Fi. And so ends my interest in this handset.
The Nokia XpressMusic 5800 will be out whenever Nokia can be bothered to underwhelm the market – most likely Christmas when people are looking for a stocking filler of any kind and Hamley’s is out of whoopie cushions.
