Toshiba shows off prototype netbook – or is it a UMPC?
Share
Another big boy wants a piece of the small form/small price market – Toshiba.
The unnamed device has been shown off as a prototype with a fetching chrome finish. Indeed, it looks more like a UMPC (remember them?) than a cheapo laptop, complete with touchscreen keyboard (which dominates the screen), Atom processor and MS Vista operating system. The screen itself is 5.6 inches, with 64GB of storage and GPS built-in.
The prototype is seen as more of a talking point that a finished product and it seems to be working. Well, we’re talking about it aren’t we?
