Epson announces four new inkjet printers for the home office
Epson has today announced four new inkjet printers boasting not only high quality printing but a range of other features including faxing and wireless access.
The Stylus Office BX300F (£79.99) is a compact 4-in-1 printer offering faxing, scanning, and copying. It uses individual DURABrite Ultra Ink cartridges, making it more efficient and without inks bleeding through the paper.
It will print up to 31 pages per minute, scans at 1200dpi, and comes with OCR software.
The Stylus SX100 (£59.99) printer offers scanning at up to 600dpi, and includes Epson Easy Photo Fix for restoring faded photos. It can print up to 26 pages per minute, and individual ink cartridges cost £5.99 each.
The Stylus SX600FW (£149.99) can be added to a wireless home network to allow any connected computer to print to it.
It features a built-in 6.3cm LCD screen for viewing and printing photos, making copies, and displaying other information without the need for a PC. It also has a memory card reader and PictBridge connection for direct printing from digital cameras.
Its automatic document feeder can take in up to 30 pages at once, meaning faster scanning, copying, and faxing. It also features OCR and photo fixing software.
Finally, the Stylus Office B40W (£85) prints quickly — up to 38 pages per minute — and is touted as a cost-effective alternative to a laser printer. It features wireless and Ethernet networking capability, individual ink cartridges, and low power consumption.
All four printers will be available from 1st September.
