Intempo Fusion: classy looking iPod speaker dock with DAB radio
Intempo has gone for a sleek, curvy look on its new Fusion, the successor to last year’s popular RDI-03 iPod/DAB speaker system.
The sculptured design means that whichever of the iPod family you pop in the cradle, it’s still easy to access its controls.
The unit itself features two 25 watt speakers (five watts shy of the RDI-03) and a built-in subwoofer, which should hopefully give improved bass response. It also features both DAB and FM radio, so really is the all round digital entertainer (unless you want to use shiny discs, of course), and can be used as an alarm clock.
Control is via tactile buttons on the unit itself, or the full-functioned remote control unit.
If there’s one thing this world isn’t short of, it’s iPod docks, so a unit has to be pretty special to stand out. The Intempo Fusion looks pretty good, sounds good (at least on paper), and does radio too, which puts it pretty high on the list of contenders.
Coming in mid-September, it will cost £99.

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. Thanks.
Good stuff.
I know this site has a wide variety of such iPod speakers
um.. actually i never use these, the point is choose a right headphone, the headphones are best appreciated alone. but these speakers are ideal for social settings where you want to share your tunes with a few others or when you’re milling around your hotel room getting ready for a night out on the town.
I’ll keep my eyes peeled and post back if I see it anywhere! All I have found so far is reviews…
Does anyone know where I can pre-order one? Can’t seem to find it anywhere and really want to get my hands on one!
I’m not sure, Carl. I haven’t seen it listed anywhere yet. It’s not even being promoted on Intempo’s web site. Hopefully nearer launch date it’ll appear at the likes of John Lewis, Amazon, etc.
