Yoda banned from Facebook
Sorry, little fella. You’re not getting in. The Jedi is among a list of people banned from creating profiles on the world’s most popular social networking site. I should note that he hasn’t tried registering himself, it’s been uncovered by a Japanese author named Hiroki Yoda.
Hiroki tried to register, and got an error message. Other versions of her anglicised surname, like Youda and Yohda, worked fine, so she suspected it might be something to do with little green men. After contacting Facebook she was told that she was on a name blacklist because so many people try and imitate the Jedi master.
Facebook have now relented and allowed Hiroko to set up her own profile. The Jedi Council weren’t immediately available for comment.
