Another phone exchange hit by thieves
Share
The second London telephone exchange in as many weeks has been raided by thieves, who have taken tens of thousands’ worth of pounds of networking equipment. The raid at 3.45am took down three local ISPs and left many customers without any connection until 2pm yesterday.
Police are still working with BT to determine exactly what has been taken, so no arrests have yet been made. There’s a strong possibility that this raid is related (or at least inspired) by the raid almost exactly two weeks ago in Mayfair, though Police aren’t linking the two just yet.
