Nokia 5800 XpressMusic "Tube" to be announced on October 2nd?
A Czech website, Mobil.cz, has managed to get its hands on what appears to be the first official press shot of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, a.k.a. the “Tube”. The handset, which is Nokia’s first touchscreen device, is looking like it’ll be announced on October 2nd at the launch of Nokia’s “Comes With Music” service.
My initial impressions are that the phone looks rather snazzy. Good to see a bit of red rather than the usual black and silver. The specs are already out, and the device features a 3.2″ display, S60 OS and 3.2 megapixel camera, along with 8GB SD card, GPS and Wi-Fi.
It’s also, fantastically, got a 3.5″ headphone jack, adding credence to the theory that it’ll be announced at the Nokia “Comes with Music” event. We’re already booked to be there, so stay tuned for updates that evening. We’ll make sure you’re the first to know.
