PocketSurfer 2R offers unlimited mobile internet for life (really)
Looking for a surprisingly cheap way to surf the internet on the go? Datawind has upgraded its PocketSurfer device, and are pitching it a price point that will almost definitely impress you. Styled like the offspring of a netbook laptop and a mobile phone, the PocketSurfer 2R apparently offers “unlimited web access” for only £60 a year. Apparently this does literally mean unlimited with no contracts or fair uses policy – unlike the “unlimited” offered by mobile phone companies that tend to spell “unlimited” with an asterix at the end, and print a novel in smallprint at the bottom of the page.
Buying the device, which includes a GPS reciever, and sports a full keyboard and touchpad, for £199 will get you 20 hours a month of web access for a year – if you pay £60 on top though you’ll get the aforementioned unlimited access – get this – for life.
It almost sounds too good to be true.
