Fujitsu announces Lifebook N7010 with a second tiny touchscreen
This is the new Fujitsu Lifebook N7010. Its most notable feature is the tiny 4″ touchscreen mounted just above the keyboard. You can use it like a second monitor – dragging programs and stuff down there, or you can use it as an app launcher, or control for DVDs and CDs.
Aside from the tiny lil’ screen, the machine has a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo chip, 4GB of memory, 256 MB ATI HD 3470 graphics card, and up to 320GB hard drive. You’ll probably get some decent gaming perforrmance out of that, if that’s your thing. It’s also got a 16″ display, Blu-ray drive, HDMI-out, multitouch trackpad, card reader, webcam, eSATA port, bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Fujitsu reckons you’ll squeeze 2.5 hours of battery life from it, and will start shipping on Nov 10th. It’ll cost US$1500 from the Fujitsu website. No word on when it’ll arrive in the UK, but we’ll keep you posted with prices and availability as soon as we hear them.
