YouTube Video of the Day: Creme that egg!
As I watched the first 15 seconds of this video, I was convinced it was an advert for Cadbury’s Creme Eggs. For the rest of the 2mins and 20secs, I was too busy wondering if my jaw was ever going to close again. Watch the clip and you’ll see what I mean…
That, my friends, is the work of 23-year-old New Zealander Joseph Herscher who put together those incredible bits and pieces of household nonsense with 30 sticks of hot glue and 480 pins.
“I didn’t have any brothers and sisters so I used to do these things when I was bored as I grew up,” he told the Telegraph.
“I made something that hung from the ceiling that would hold my books, so that I wouldn’t get tired arms. And I made something for when my mum came home – the door would open and pull a string that played a tape of me saying ‘Welcome home’.”
How sweet does that sound?
Cadbury is reportedly delighted with the free publicity and have sent a hamper of Creme Eggs over to clever Joe and says that “the man is clearly a genius”. I’d have to agree.
