LG confirms GW620 (Etna) Android phone
Blimey, it isn’t even 10am on Monday morning and we already have the first Android phone of the week. This time it is LG confirming what we knew already that it has a Google powered smartphone coming to Europe, and specifically Vodafone, in the next couple of months.
The company is at pains to stress though that even though it has hopped aboard the Android bandwagon it is still mad keen on the Windows Mobile smartphone platform and will deliver a trio of WinMo handsets in the coming weeks.
Well back to the Android. It has been christened the LG GW620, we knew it as the Etna, features a 3-inch full touchscreen and a slide out QWERTY keypad.
Oddly LG hasn’t mentioned any specs for the phone, but if it is the same as the leak, and the leakers have been bang on so far, it will have Bluetooth and a five mega pixel camera.
LG adds that it will be available in selected European markets – so no news on whether Voda in the UK will have it.
