LG to unveil 13 Windows Mobile phones
LG has confirmed that it is still very keen on Windows Mobile and will release no fewer than 13 new Microsoft powered smart phones over the next 16 months. The first three will be unveiled in the next few weeks.
LG confirms GW620 (Etna) Android phone
Oddly LG hasn't mentioned any specs for the phone, but if it is the same as the leak, and the leakers have been bang on so far, it will have Bluetooth and a five mega pixel camera.
Acer revs up Ferrari One laptop
Of course all that the PC has in common with the car is its dancing horse logo and red livery, but don't let that put you off. Under the hood it has a dual-core AMD Athlon X2 L310 1.2GHz CPU and 2GB of 800MHz DDR 2 memory, a 250 Gig hard drive and an ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics processor.
Philips uWand spells out future for remotes
Demonstrated at IBC recently was Philips’ wonderfully named uWand. Unfortunately nothing to do with Harry Potter, it apparently enables you to sit on a sofa and interact with screen menus and objects as if you are actually touching them.
The uWand 3D pointer features a small infrared camera embedded in the handheld device which gives uWand ‘remote touch’ capabilities so you can navigate on-screen applications by pointing, clicking and using fluid 3D gestures.
