Vodafone to sell iPhone in the UK

The iPhone will be available to Vodafone customers from early 2010. The announcement was officially made at 9am today apparently, though it appears the story was broken in The Telegraph a little earlier.
The Telegraph also says it will spark a price war and may offer the handset at a cheaper price than its rival networks.
Yesterday, Orange confirmed that it too will sell the iPhone as Apple’s exclusive period on the popular device draws to an end.
Beginning today, Vodafone UK and Vodafone Ireland customers can register their interest in iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS at www.vodafone.co.uk/iphone and www.vodafone.ie/iphone respectively. Pricing, tariffs and availability information will be announced locally in the future.
