First UK Twitter awards announced
Thanks to the Golden Twits, Twitter can now boast having its first ever UK awards show, with the ceremony being held in London sometime this November.
With Twitter reaching nearly 18 million users now, the Golden Twits award show will throw the media spotlight onto the phenomenally popular micro-blogging format once again.
To avoid Halle Berry/Gwyneth Paltrow bawling sessions, acceptance speeches will be limited to 140 Twitter-fitting characters.
Expect nominations for such Golden Twits as Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand and an endless stream of backslapping re-tweets on the night.
If you know someone who spends an unhealthy length of time tweeting banal glimpses of their life and deserves a nod at the awards, enter them over at the Golden Twits website by October 22nd. Though it’s probably best you don’t encourage them…
