Nokia set to recall 14 million AC chargers
Nokia are preparing to recall a whopping 14 million of it’s mobile phone chargers after discovering a fault in their plastic casings.
AC-3E and AC-3U chargers built between April 13th and October 25th 2009 are the items in question. Nokia believe that a manufacturing fault could cause the chargers’ plastic casings to separate, leaving internal components exposed and delivering a nasty shock to anyone unfortunate enough to have one malfunction.
Nokia’s official statement noted that “While we are not aware of any incidents or injuries related to the affected chargers, as a precautionary measure, we will exchange affected charger models free-of-charge.”
