Revised BBC iPlayer headed to Wii
BBC iPlayer is heading to the Nintendo Wii once again, this time around with a bespoke design and its own dedicated Wii channel.
Wii owners with a broadband connection have had access to a rudimentary iPlayer since April 2008. However the service was criticised for its awkward interface and unstable connections, which this update looks to address.
It’s been a busy month for console based TV. The Xbox Live debut of Sky Player had to be pulled offline after “unprecedented levels of simultaneous demand” led to a rocky start for the service.
Does the new-look Wii iPlayer stand up well against its PS3 and PC counterparts? Let us know in the comments below.
