New HTC phone neither Android nor Windows Mobile based
Leaked photos of the latest HTC mobile handset show a brand new direction from the Asian company.
A decidedly less powerful unit than their recent HD2 or Hero offerings, the new Touch.b appears to have neither Android nor Windows mobile keys on it. According to HTC-Phones, the handset will instead be running on BrewMP, a platform designed to help users create their own applications.
The Touch.b looks set to be a budget offering from HTC. It will not support Wi-Fi connections or video recording, and its camera only packs 2 mega-pixels. The Touch.b will have Flash and 3G functionality however.
There’s no confirmation yet on a UK release for the handset, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear any new details.
