Popeye creator honoured in Google logo

The late creator of Popeye, E.C. Segar, would be celebrating his 105th birthday were he alive today. To honour the comic book artist, Google have designed a unique Google logo to mark the occasion.
It’s a fun little image, harking back to Popeye’s comic book roots, with the spinach-loving sailor man’s fists whirl-winding into the “G” of Google’s name.
The special logo follows in the footsteps of other figures who Google have deemed culturally significant. They include H.G. Wells, Confucius and more recently, the puppet cast of Sesame Street.
