Nokia X9 running Symbian^4 pics leaked, specs too good to be true?
Pictures of what looks to apparently be the Nokia X9 have leaked online. Looking to be a direct successor to the Nokia X6 in both form and function, it’s looking to be a very impressive handset indeed.
Running Symbian^4 , the Nokia X9 features a 1GHz Cortex A8 CPU, which is an advanced version of the processor found in the iPhone 3GS. There’s also a 12 MP camera onboard, a 3..7 inch AMOLED screen, 32 GB of storage space and a HDMI out port. There is also Wi-Fi, aGPS and HSDPA connectivity.
Impressed? You should be; so long as codec support is strong, Nokia have one of the hottest looking multimedia phones we’ve seen on their hands here.
But don’t hold your breath just yet. The image leaked does look suspiciously like a mock-up rather than the real deal, which could undermine the validity of the specs that go with it. Keep in mind that Symbian^4 isn’t expected to launch for quite some time, and it starts to sound a little fishy.
Here’s hoping it is real though. The Nokia X6 was a nifty little number, and with tweaks in all the right places, the X9 update could be a real contender.
