Toshiba have announced the launch of their Satellite A665 laptop, a 3D-ready powerhouse powered by Nvidia’s 3D Vision technology.

Aimed primarily at gamers and Blu-ray fans, the A665 will have a Quad Core Intel i7 processor under the hood, with a 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray re-writeable disk drive and up to 4GB of DDR3 memory.

The Nvidia 3D Vision tech means that the laptop will also come packing a pair of 3D active shutter glasses and pyramid box for processing the 3D visuals. The display itself is a 15.6 inch TruBrite LED backlit screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz for super smooth visuals.

If 3D isn’t your bag there are plenty of other features in the A665 to pick your interest. On-board are Harman Kardon stereo speakers, Dolby Advanced Audio processing, Toshiba’s USB Sleep-and-Music technology (which lets a connected MP3 player make use of the laptop’s speakers, even while on standy) and Resolution+ picture processing, similar to what can be found in Toshiba’s HD TVs.

No pricing available yet, but the A665 should be in shops by July.
