iPhone 4 users reporting signal issues
Everyone — don your controversy helmets immediately. The iPhone 4 has got problems. Big ones it would seem.
Every time users hold the bottom left hand corner of the iPhone they lose signal. Apple have issued a terse statement in response to the complaints.
“Gripping any phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your Phone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.”
Or, Apple, you could admit that this is a massive balls-up on your part and give everyone a free bumper cases with each phone that has already shipped while not selling anymore until the issue has been resolved in production.
YouTube has become the arena most people have chosen to present their evidence of the issue, and here is one such example.
We’ll keep you updated as this story develops — whether this defect only affects a hand-full of phones or all of them. I tried to confirm this on my iPhone 4 handset but my micro-sim isn’t activated yet. I’ll let you know as soon as it is.

I haven’t faced any such problem yet. It is working perfectly. I hope it continues to work like this.
I love this iphone. The white one is perfect for me.
I am having same issue with my signal without even touching the iPhone.
