The PS3 will get its first batch of 3D games tomorrow and, if you’re lucky enough to be able to splash out on a new 3D-ready Sony KDL-HX803 Bravia TV, you’ll get them bundled in for free too.

The 3D line-up includes WipEout HD, SuperStardust HD, Pain and a demo of Motorstorm Pacific Rift. In full stereoscopic 3D, they’ll all be available at no extra cost for new owners of a KDL-HX803 Bravia TV. Owners of the previously-available 2D versions of the game will be able to get the 3D upgrades for a small cost over the PlayStation Network service, while the complete package will be available to buy for £23.99 for those using another brand’s 3D sets.

Sony also showed off vids of two high-profile 3D releases due out soon for the PS3. Killzone 2 and Gran Turismo 5 will both get a 3D makeover alongside their standard 2D releases.

Sony’s PS3s will be fully 3D compatible thanks to a free over-the-air firmware update.

  • This is a smart blog. I mean it. You have so much knowledge about this issue, and so much passion. You also know how to make people rally behind it, obviously from the responses.

  • Well said, such a person should be a good sentence, or the future will be more rampant.

  • Its good that sony are bundling these with the TV’S its just a shame the TV’s are so expensive and I cant afford one.
