Sony launch VAIO J series multi-touch all-in-one desktop PC
The iPhone 4 isn’t the only new gadget sporting a touchscreen today. Take a look at this latest desktop PC from Sony; it’s part of the new VAIO J series, and it’s an all-in-one multi-touch computer with a 21.5 inch 1080p full HD display.
This latest model, aka the VAIO J11M1E/B, is pretty striking to look at with a one-piece glossy black bezel and stand housing both the PC components and the HD screen. Inside there is an Intel Core i3 processor, 500GB of storage space and 4GB of memory, a nVidia GeForce 310M graphics card, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an built-in webcam and a side-loaded DVD rewriter. Windows 7 Home Premium comes bundled in too.
The 1920 x 1080 resolution display comes into its own when using the multi-touch features on offer here. You’ll have full multi-touch pinch, flick, swipe and drag controls over all of your files in the Media Gallery player, while YouPaint will let you try your fingers at being a digital Picasso.
No pricing announced yet, but this one should be hitting shelves by July.

This Sony VAIO series look like great computers. I hope in the near future all computers will come with the multi-touch features at a reasonable price.

Touch screen is clearly the way we need to go. The more interactive, the quicker we can work and play online.
This desktop really shows the potential in innovation as we make things smaller yet with more capability. Very nice look too.
Everywhere in the LV, a bit mean!
One of the first all-in-one desktop computer I’ve ever laid eyes on the beauty was the Sony widescreen. Almost seven years later, the company’s latest entry brings increasingly crowded market for multi-touch, high-definition multimedia entertainment package, strong and attractive.
