Canon launch IXUS 1000 HS digital camera to mark ten years of the range: Official pics
Canon are today launching the IXUS 1000 HS digital camera to mark ten years of their popular IXUS compact range.
The first in the line to offer both a 10x optical zoom and 1080p video recording abilities, Canon claim it is the slimmest camera of its kind and their most advanced IXUS model thus far.
The IXUS 1000 HS features a 10MP CMOS sensor with optical image stabilising courtesy of the Canon DIGIC 4 processor. ISO speeds max out at 3200 at the highest resolutions, but can reach ISO 6400 when dropping to 2.5 megapixels.
Elsewhere are a host of auto-settings, including Smart Auto and Best Image Selection, and novelty modes like a Fish-eye lens effect and miniature modes.
