Document editing comes to Android

Android seems to be the OS of choice for most new tablet PCs, with Chrome OS still seemingly a way off, and with scant details available, Andriod desperately needs to add some core functionality to its OS to give iPad rivals even a semblance of competitiveness.
Google yesterday unveiled a mobile verification function which will bring in-browser Google Docs editing to mobile devices, including the iPad.
Some iPad apps already offer the ability to edit and sync documents with your Google Docs account, so adding that functionality to the iPad is a calcutated price to pay to bring the ability to Android.
According to a Google blog post, the service is set to launch in the next few weeks. Head back here for a full-review once it’s released.
