Grand Theft Auto trilogy finally headed to Apple Macs
OK, so it’s been a long time coming, but it looks like Rockstar are finally getting around to porting the first three 3D Grand Theft Auto games to Mac computers.
The “Classic Trilogy”, which is made up of the nearly 10 year-old Grand Theft Auto 3, 2002’s Vice City and 2004’s San Andreas, will hit Mac computers by the end of the year, according to a Rockstar Q and A session over on their website.
“Look for the long-awaited release of the classic Grand Theft Auto Trilogy (Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas) for Mac – most likely later this year,” the studio said in its Asked and Answered feature. “We’ll have much more info and a proper announcement soon.”
If you’ve got Windows installed on your Mac you’ve been able to enjoy these games for a good while now, but still, no knocking a native version, however late it may be.
We’re still waiting on pricing and confirmation on the release date. We’ll get back to you when we have them.
