The Holga D Concept Camera
This is one concept camera I would love to see come to life. Designed by Saikat Biswas, the Holga D is a digital take on the classic, with an interesting twist.
Despite being digital, there is no view screen to see the photos you’ve just taken, meaning you can only see the results once you have upload the pictures. This in many ways allows the camera to retain the qualities and simplicity of the original Holga camera while bringing back the joy and delayed gratification associated with analog photography.
For those who are not familiar with the Holga, it is an inexpensive, medium format 120 film toy camera. Its cheap construction and simple plastic lens create whimsical, surreal images often with vignetting, bluring, and light leaks. The camera has obtained cult status in recent years.
