Casio have revealed a brand new digital camera called Tryx, featuring a pretty unusual form factor that “encourages freestyle image capture”.

It has a fold out handle that doubles up as a stand, and a twisting screen to let users catch a preview of their own self portraits. At only .59 an inch thick., it’s looking great if you want to take those surly Facebook/Myspace profile pictures from dodgy angles if you dont have a pal at hand.

Still image shots max out at 12 MP, while Full HD movies can also be shot with the Tryx. Hooking up the Tryx to a PC via USB automatically posts the shot content to social networks.

The new camera packs in the EXLIM Engine HS, featuring high speed shooting and image processing technology and paired with “entertaining” editing features using the same HDR-Art Craft functions seen in the newly-revealed Imaging Square network.
