New Samsung Galaxy Ace details emerge
The Samsung Galaxy Ace, AKA the Samsung Galaxy S Mini, has had the lid lifted on its spec sheet. The Galaxy S’s little bro turns out to not be all that “mini” after all, just 6 grams lighter than the Galaxy S at 113 grams and just a tad smaller at 112.4 x 59.9 x 11.5mm.
The Ace’s stature seems more to do with its reduced specs then rather than size, though it’s still looking healthy in that department too. Running Android Froyo with Samsung’s TouchWiz re-skinning, it has a 3.5 inch touchscreen (480 x320 res) with an 800 Mhz Qualcomm processor driving the show.
150 MB of internal memory is featured, though that’s expandable by microSD, of which a 2GB stick is included in the box. A 5MP camera with LED flash sits on the back.
Plenty of connectivity options too, with premium features such as DNLA compatibility joining HSDPA (7.2Mbps) 900/2100MHz, EDGE/GPRS, 850/900/1800/1900MHz, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS and FM radio with RDS.
We expect to hear more from the Ace at MWC 2011, so check backthen for further details.
