HP revealed its brand new touchpad today, starting with the 9.7 inch Toupaz model to be released in September.
The device comes with a 1024 x 768 resolution multi-touch screen, and at 740 grams and 13 millimetres thickness it’s a similar weight and size as the iPad . On the inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 dual-core 1.2GHz processor, and the tablet also boasts 512MB of RAM, and you can choose between 16GB or 32GB of memory.
The Touchpad is said to come with eight hours of battery life with its 6300 mAh battery. Palm’s webOS 2.1 software is the platform of choice; further features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity to varying quality depending on the model.
