Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (PSP Phone) officially headed to MWC
The long rumoured Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, AKA the PSP Phone, has now been confirmed to make an appearance at next week’s MWC 2011 show.
The handset, which has been spotted in the wild more times than David Attenborough’s camera crew, will headline a Sony Ericsson press conference, scheduled to kick off at 6PM GMT on February 13th.
The Android-packing smartphone, complete with dedicated gaming controls, is expected to launch with the cross-platform PlayStation Suite gaming portal, allowing owners to play some of the same games set to be available on the super-powered Sony NGP console that was recently announced.
An advert for the handset (embedded above) was shown during last night’s Superbowl show down.
