The app of love: Condom-finder app launched by New York City health officials
A free app for free condoms – what more can you ask for? New York City health officials has launched an app that will pinpoint the five nearest venues that distribute official NYC Condoms. These even come in fun wrappers printed with colourful subway maps or other city themes.
The NYC Condom Finder app is available from the App Store or Android Market. People can manually enter addresses or use their phone’s GPS technology to be directed towards the nearest outlet. The app also provides the opening hours of operation for each location, as well as directions by foot, car or public transportation. If that’s not enough, there’s also tips on best condom practices. Whether the app will be launched in other cities too is not certain at this point, but it depends whether anywhere else has the charisma to pull off something like this … what do you think?
