'The Social Network' conquers Hollywood with three Oscars
The Facebook film, ‘The Social Network’ won three awards at this weekend’s Oscar ceremony.
While it was probably no surprise it lost out to The King’s Speech for Best Picture, The Social Network took home gongs for Best Film Editing, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Score.
The story of how young Harvard undergraduate Mark Zuckerberg went about setting up a world-leading social media platform may well be legend one day, but with the Academy Awards onboard so soon the day of legend may be here sooner than expected.
David Fincher’s film was also up for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Cinematography and Best Sound Mixing. Maybe in a few year – surely there must be a Social Network 2.0 on a drawing board somewhere?

The movie was great…and no doubt it grabs 3 oscar award.
It was a great film, it is most definitely deserved of oscars – not only did it chart a really interesting modern phenomena but it also added drama and portrayed it all interestingly.
