Nokia "shoot and tag" automatically bookmarks videos for easy viewing

It would have been a lifesaver on those family holidays, after which everyone had to watch Dad’s video: hours of crowd shots and camera fumbling interspersed with only the occasional glimpse of anything remotely interesting.
But now there is a solution to save future generations from such dread: Nokia’s new “shoot and tag” system will automatically tag your video with the scenes being filmed. This means it will be easy to find the good bits later.
The app will create tags within the video, so the user can later fast forward to the scenes they really want to see. It is also possible to create manual tags, to later find specific scenes not identified by the software.
Still in Beta stage, the app is available from the Nokia Betalabs – here.
