Facebook for iPhone now has an "Unfriend" button

Looking to cull your fair-weather Facebook friends whilst on the go? Well now you can, as a newly-released update to the social network’s iPhone client has just gone live.

With it comes functionality that includes the ability to “Unfriend” those who consistently send you dodgy links, or, even worse, insist on tagging you in unflattering photos.

There are also updates to the Places service including a map view, as well as being able to check-in at Events you’re currently attending, and a more streamlined News Feed and notifications area.
