Garageband for iPad gets Mac import fix
The launch of Garageband for iPad tablets was one of the best parts of the recent iPad 2 launch, with the legions of Garageband users now able to lay down their hit recordings whilst on the go. Steve Jobs talked up the ability to transfer tracks from the tablet version to the full-fat Mac desktop suite, but many users were disappointed when the promised functionality was all-but broken upon launch.
Apple have now rectified this with the GarageBand 6.0.2 for Mac update. A 45.2MB download, it fixes the desktop app so that iPad-imported tracks are finally fully functioning.
If you’ve got an iPad and are yet to try Garageband, you can pick up the portable digital 8-track recording studio for £2.99 by clicking here, complete with Smart Instruments that mean any ham-fisted guitarist can sound like Slash.
